UPCOMING AND RECENT SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

  • Ira Sills will be speaking on “The NLRB’s New Representation Case Rules” at the Massachusetts AFL-CIO’s Organizers Roundtable on February 14, 2012 at IBEW Local 103.
  • Indi Talwani will be presenting a workshop on, "How to Negotiate a Post-Residency Employment Contract" at a conference of the Committee of Interns and Residents at Boston University Medical School on January 28, 2012.
  • In November 2011, James Shaw gave a presentation on “Employee Free Speech in the Workplace Post-Garcetti to the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association. In November he also served as a panelist for the Boston Bar Association’s continuing legal education workshop on “Labor Law for the Union and Non-Union Workplace.”
  • In November 2011 Burt Rosenthal served as faculty at the Mass Continuing Legal Education’s “Labor & Employment Law Basics” conference and delivered a presentation on the National Labor Relations Act and protected concerted activity.
  • In November 2011, Paul Kelly presented his paper on “The Norris-Laguardia Act: the LMRA’s Older Cousin” at the ABA’s Labor and Employment Law Section Conference in Seattle, Washington.
  • In October 2011, James Shaw gave four presentations to members of the Massachusetts Nurses Association across the Commonwealth concerning social media and its effects on employee rights and obligations in the workplace.
