Kate Shea is a trial lawyer in the firm’s ERISA litigation practice. Kate represents multi-employer pension, annuity, and health and welfare funds in federal and state courts. She also serves as trial counsel in the firm’s personal injury practice, representing union members who have suffered catastrophic injuries at unsafe jobsites.
Prior to joining Segal Roitman in 1994, Kate worked in the litigation department of Ropes & Gray and served a six-month stint as Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County. She was a law review editor at BC Law School and published a comparative study on jurisdiction issues. Kate has taught advanced legal writing at Suffolk Law School and serves as a mediator for the Harvard Mediation Program.
